Dr. Gonzalez received her masters and doctorate in clinical psychology
from DePaul University with a specialization in community psychology.
She has experience working with diverse populations and has worked both
in urban and rural communities. She has also worked extensively with
foster care systems, public and private schools, and specializes in
working with children and adolescents presenting with a wide range of
developmental, learning, social, and emotional problems. As a member
of Children.s Research Triangle, she conducts psychological assessments
with children age 0-18. She also participates in the group therapy
program and is assisting in the development of clinics in southern
Illinois that will focus serving children with prenatal and postnatal
exposure to methamphetamine.
