Amy Groessl, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, coordinates the Therapy Services Program at The Child Study Center. Ms. Groessl has experience providing therapeutic treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with advanced clinical training and special interest in the areas of sexual abuse and trauma, attachment issues, and complicated grief and loss. Previous work experience includes supervising both Child & Adolescent and Victim Services Programs, Sexual Abuse Therapist, ER Psychiatric Social Worker and Violent Crime Victims Specialist. Ms. Groessl provides professional training on various topics including Children with Complex Trauma, Child Sexual Abuse, Teen Dating Violence, Adoption Issues, Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention. She is currently a volunteer for the Chicago Chapter of the American Red Cross Disaster Mental Health Response Team and is active with the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center's Network of Treatment Providers for Sexually Abused Children.
